VR Equitypartner acquires with Menold Bezler

Menold Bezler has advised the Frankfurt-based investment company VR Equitypartner GmbH (VREP) on the acquisition of Airtech TGA GmbH & Co. KG (Airtech) from Tuttlingen for its associated company Zimmer & Hälbig GmbH based in Bielefeld.

VREP, a subsidiary of DZ Bank, advises medium-sized family-owned companies on complex financing issues. Its portfolio currently comprises around 60 investments with a total investment volume of EUR 400 million.

Zimmer & Hälbig is a leading provider in the planning, installation and maintenance of refrigeration, air conditioning and ventilation technology. The company employs around 280 people at its locations in Bielefeld, Leipzig, Cologne and Osnabrück. VREP has held a significant minority stake in the air-conditioning specialist since October 2022.

Airtech was founded more than 30 years ago and specialises in the maintenance and repair of modern ventilation systems. The current managing partner, Andreas Speck, will continue to lead the company.

Menold Bezler advised VREP on the legal, tax and financial aspects of the transaction.
