Menold Bezler advises bmp greengas on acquisition of biomethane portfolio of BayWa r.e.

Menold Bezler advised bmp greengas GmbH on the acquisition of the biomethane portfolio of Munich-based BayWa r.e.. The transaction is part of the strategic orientation of the Erdgas Südwest subsidiary towards a renewable, decentralized and self-sufficient energy supply.

The transfer of business processes from biomethane trading also includes the takeover of employees at the Munich site. The parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.

bmp greengas is one of the leading marketers of biomethane in Germany and an expert in green gases, based in Munich. Business areas are purchasing, transport, balancing and delivery of biomethane, marketing of CO2, SNG, bio-LNG, green hydrogen and procurement of GHG quota for natural gas filling stations.

A team led by Vladimir Cutura provided comprehensive legal advice to bmp greengas during the preparation and execution of the acquisition. In 2017, Menold Bezler already advised the energy service provider Erdgas Südwest GmbH around the acquisition of bmp greengas.
