Menold Bezler and Italian cooperation law firm HiLex advise Manz AG

The German company Manz AG, among the worldwide leaders in the field of high technology engineering, purchased the engineering division of Kemet Electronics Italia, company of the US group KEMET Corporation. The transaction, which is envisaged to complete within the end of April, contemplates the transfer of the entire business - including 83 employees - active in the production of machinery in the market segment of capacitors and lithium batteries.

Manz AG is listed on the German stock exchange. Kemet is listed on the NYSE.

Manz AG was assisted by Menold Bezler of Stuttgart, with partner Dr. Guido Quass and Roman Becker and by HiLex of Milan with partner Leonardo Proni, Linda Patavino, Elisa Cappellini and Nicola Toffanin. Lexellent, with partner Giulietta Bergamaschi e Serena Muci assisted Manz in relation to labour law issues.

Legance, with partner Alberto Maggi and Francesca D'Amico, Federica Pomero and Andrea Tortora della Corte, assisted the seller Kemet Electronics Italia S.r.l..

Through this acquisition, Manz is able to intensify its commitment to future markets of e-mobility, stationary power storage and consumer electronics.
