Menold Bezler advises Adeleon on the sale of WESTFA Energy

Menold Bezler has advised Adeleon Familienholding GmbH, formerly WESTFA Holding GmbH, on the sale of WESTFA Energy GmbH from Hagen including all subsidiaries and shareholdings to Mabanaft GmbH & Co. KG. The transaction will take effect from 1 January 2024 and is subject to antitrust clearance.

Founded in 1946, WESTFA Energy is a family-owned company specialising in liquefied natural gas with regional sales units in Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg and France. WESTFA Energy will continue to be led by the existing management team and will remain an independent company.

The energy company Mabanaft is a subsidiary of Marquard & Bahls and offers solutions in the transport, heating and industrial segments. The expansion of the product range to include liquefied natural gas is intended to make the offering more reliable and increasingly sustainable.

Menold Bezler advised Adeleon on all legal aspects of the transaction. Menold Bezler has already had a trusting client relationship with WESTFA Holding for many years.
