Menold Bezler Advises Wilhelm Weber GmbH & Co. KG on Self-Administered Restructuring

On 17 November 2025, Wilhelm Weber GmbH & Co. KG filed for insolvency in self-administration with the competent district court – insolvency court – in Esslingen. Dr. Sebastian Mielke, Partner at Menold Bezler, has been appointed as authorised restructuring representative. The court appointed attorney Steffen Beck from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH as the preliminary custodian. He will accompany the proceedings in the interest of the creditors.

Together with the managing directors Stephan Meier and Martin A. Bauer, Dr. Mielke aims to restructure the company. A structured investor process will be initiated to identify potential investors for a possible acquisition of the company.

Business operations at Wilhelm Weber GmbH & Co. KG continue without restrictions. The salaries of the approximately 120 employees are secured for three months through insolvency benefits.

Wilhelm Weber GmbH & Co. KG was founded in 1925 in Esslingen and operates in the fields of toolmaking, plastic injection moulding, and rotary systems. Over its 100-year history, the company has specialised in the demanding area of multi-component injection moulding. Due to the persistently weak automotive industry and the associated decline in revenues, the management was compelled to continue the restructuring course initiated in recent years through insolvency proceedings in self-administration.
