Menold Bezler Advises on Construction Tender for the House of Tourism in Stuttgart
Menold Bezler advised Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH on leasing premises and on the tendering of project management, planning, and construction services for the new House of Tourism on Stuttgart’s market square, which was officially inaugurated today. The House of Tourism creates a central hub for the tourism organizations of the city, region, and state, giving new momentum to the market square as a place for urban encounters.
The spatial concept includes the Tourist Information Center, conference rooms, a restaurant, office space for Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH, Regio Stuttgart Marketing- und Tourismus GmbH, and Tourismus Marketing GmbH Baden-Württemberg, as well as a green rooftop terrace with a rooftop bar. The former Breitling fashion house was sustainably renovated and expanded using timber construction, photovoltaic systems, and green roofs and façades. The building is part of the IBA’27 network (International Building Exhibition 2027).
The architectural design for the comprehensive renovation and conversion work was carried out by asp Architekten GmbH, who won a Europe-wide tender process. The decisive factor was the façade concept, which blends harmoniously into the market square without appearing overly dominant. The construction works were awarded by trade.
Menold Bezler advised Stuttgart-Marketing GmbH on the conception and implementation of the tenders for project management, planning, and construction services, on drafting the lease agreement with the Breitling family as property owners, and on leasing commercial space for gastronomy.
