Dr Sebastian Mielke supports the self-administration proceedings of the social enterprises Neue Arbeit as restructuring officer

Dr Sebastian Mielke, partner at Menold Bezler, is supporting the self-administration proceedings of the social enterprise Neue Arbeit gGmbH (SNA) and its subsidiary Neue Arbeit Dienstleistungsagentur GmbH as restructuring officer.

Both companies filed for the opening of self-administration proceedings with the Local Court (Amtsgericht) of Stuttgart on 12 March 2026. The court granted the application on 16 March 2026. The subsidiaries NintegrA gGmbH and Esslinger-Beschäftigungs-Initiative gGmbH are not affected by the proceedings.

Dr. Sebastian Mielke, supported by Melanie Niksic, will guide the companies through the insolvency proceedings together with the managing directors Stephan Fritz and Dietmar Meng.

“The aim is the sustainable restructuring and repositioning of the companies in order to ensure that the non-profit work of SNA can be continued in the long term,” said Dr. Sebastian Mielke. The wages of around 180 employees are secured through insolvency benefits for the period from March up to and including May 2026.

The Neue Arbeit group of companies has been undergoing a comprehensive restructuring process since 2025. The objective of the self-administration proceedings is the sustainable restructuring of both companies by means of an insolvency plan. The proceedings are expected to be concluded within 2026.
