BWK Sells Majority Stake in ICT with Menold Bezler
Menold Bezler advised BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft on the sale of its majority stake in ICT Holding GmbH to Econocom Deutschland Holding GmbH. The two board members of ICT AG, Christian Pusch (CEO) and Erik Wolff (COO), will retain a 15% share in the company each.
BWK initially invested in ICT, a provider of live communication and media technology, in 2017. In addition to its headquarters in Kohlberg, ICT has further locations in Berlin, Munich, Frankfurt am Main, and Cologne, employing around 200 people in total.
Founded in 1990 and based in Stuttgart, BWK GmbH Unternehmensbeteiligungsgesellschaft is one of the oldest private equity firms in Germany. It manages approximately EUR 300 million in investment capital and currently holds investments of around EUR 200 million in 15 companies.
BWK regularly relies on Menold Bezler for acquisitions and divestitures and brought in the team led by Vladimir Cutura when initially investing in ICT. In this transaction, the firm once again advised on the legal and tax aspects of the sale.
