Menold Bezler Partner Sebastian Mielke appointed as preliminary insolvency administrator of American Football Club Stuttgart GmbH
The American Football Club Stuttgart GmbH, operating company of Stuttgart Surge, the reigning champion of the European League of Football (ELF), filed for insolvency on November 21, 2025.
On November 24, the Stuttgart District Court appointed Dr. Sebastian Mielke, Partner at Menold Bezler, as the preliminary insolvency administrator for the company’s assets.
Dr. Mielke is coordinating closely with the management and informed employees about the current situation on November 25. At the same time, options for continuing the team’s operations are being examined. In addition to the uncertain situation within the league, the financial requirements for the upcoming season pose a particular challenge.
