Menold Bezler advised Rieger Metallveredlung GmbH & Co. KG on the acquisition of the mbw site in Mühlhausen, Thuringia, from insolvency. The site will continue operations under the name Rieger Metallveredlung Mühlhausen GmbH.

Founded in 1987, the mbw Group — a provider specializing in metal surface finishing — encountered financial difficulties due to rising costs and weak demand in the automotive industry. Insolvency proceedings were opened on 1 March 2025 at the Local Court of Baden-Baden.

Rieger Metallveredlung GmbH & Co. KG, headquartered in Steinheim am Albuch, specializes in metal finishing and electroplating technology.
