A Second Chance for Mastel Aluminium-Halbzeuge GmbH
Insolvency administrator Dr. Sebastian Mielke of the law firm Menold Bezler signed a purchase agreement for Mastel Aluminium-Halbzeuge GmbH, based in Talheim near Heilbronn, effective 1 September 2025. The acquiring company is GLEICH 1 Verwaltungs GmbH, headquartered in Kaltenkirchen.
The aluminium processor had filed for insolvency at the beginning of May. Since then, Dr. Sebastian Mielke and his team have continued business operations without interruption. The insolvency proceedings were opened on 1 August 2025. Following an extensive investor search involving over 500 potential buyers, a successful transfer restructuring solution has now been achieved to preserve the company. On 8 September, the creditors’ assembly at the Heilbronn Local Court unanimously approved the sale.
GLEICH 1 will jointly operate the business in equal partnership with W. Hartmann & Co. GmbH under the new name Mastel Metall GmbH and will retain the majority of jobs.
Sebastian Mielke oversaw the restructuring together with Melanie Niksic as preliminary insolvency administrator. The sales process was managed by a team led by Jost Rudersdorf.
