Menold Bezler advises Egeria on majority stake in Junge Die Bäckerei.
Menold Bezler has advised Egeria on its investment in Junge Die Bäckerei., a leading provider of bakery and gastronomy concepts with a branch-based model in Northern Germany. The Junge family will remain involved in the company as a co-shareholder. Completion of the transaction is still subject to the usual regulatory approvals.
Junge Die Bäckerei. was founded in 1897 in Lübeck by the Junge family and today operates over 200 branches across six German states, employing more than 5,000 people. Egeria is an independent investment company specializing in investments in mid-sized companies with an enterprise value of up to EUR 500 million. The goal of the partnership is to further strengthen the family-owned company’s presence in existing regions and to drive expansion into new markets.
A team from Menold Bezler led by partner Vladimir Cutura advised Egeria – as in previous transactions – on all legal aspects of the deal.
