Menold Bezler and Valoris Avocats advise French real estate fund on market launch in Germany

Together with French firm Valoris Avocats, Menold Bezler advised real estate funds SCPI Atlantique Mur Régions (Banque Populaire Grand Ouest) on the acquisition of an office building in Ingolstadt. The property with an area of 3,165 m² is rented to Deutsche Bahn.

French open real estate fund SCPI was established in 1987 and has a widely diversified commercial portfolio. As per June 30th, 2020 the fund administered more than 115 properties with a total area of 307,737 m². The acquisition in Ingolstadt marks SCPIs entry into the German market and the beginning of a process of strategic expansion on the international level.

Menold Bezler advised SCPI on the legal and tax implications of the transaction under German law, including the legal Due Diligence procedure and the contractual negotiations, as well as the establishment of Property Management in Germany. Valoris Avocats provided support with legal and tax structuring pursuant to French law.
