Menold Bezler advises Main-Spessart Clinic on Europe-wide tendering procedure
As part of the repositioning of its business, the Main-Spessart Clinic will be consolidating its previous clinic sites in Lohr am Main. Construction time for the new 280-bed facility on an as-yet undeveloped plot in Lohr is expected to take around three years with an investment volume of around EUR 100 million.
The contract for general planning services for the new clinic site was awarded in a Europe-wide tendering procedure. Hospitals have particularly high demands in terms of technical complexity, as far as the interlinkage of property planning, building facilities and medical technical systems are concerned, which is why the clinic was looking for a general planner for the new construction. As such, in addition to the fees, the conceptual approach was particularly relevant to the evaluation in the course of the tendering phase. The contract was awarded to Sander Hofrichter Architekten GmbH.
Menold Bezler provided Main-Spessart Clinic with comprehensive advice on procurement and contract law throughout the multi-stage tendering procedure with participation competitions. The firm regularly advises on innovative procurement projects in the healthcare sector, most recently, for example, Südwest Clinic Group and Böblingen District Clinics.
